Our Guest Speaker, Monica Young. In 2005, the need to help senior citizens negotiate the later stages of life led Monica Young to create her own senior move manager business (SMM). Now, to further share her capacity to help seniors and their families, Monica has embarked on her newest career as an author. In August 2020, she published Before the Time Comes: Conversations Family Caregivers Need to Have with Their Elderly Parents, which was awarded the 2021 Caregiver Friendly Award. In July 2023, she published How to Easily Move an Aging Parent into Their Next Home… Like a Pro, which has received awards from Booklife (2023), Eric Hoffer (2024), and CIPA Gold (2025). She lives with her husband in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and travels as often as possible.
