• Education: B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management
• Primary Responsibility: As a member of the Advisor Relations team and is responsible for overseeing client relationships and business development
• Special Interests: Travel, Food & Wine, Yoga and Boxing

Katie joined Polen Capital in 2016. Prior to joining Polen Capital, Mrs.Shepardson served for four years as Vice President of Marsh & McLennan Companies’ Marsh Risk Consulting in Miami, FL. Prior to that, she was a valuation and M&A consultant for KPMG in Chicago, IL. She received a dual B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Mrs. Shepardson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is also a fluent Spanish speaker.
