Sarah White is the Director of Client Experience with Charney Investment Group where she joined the team in February 2020. Born and raised in Mississippi, Sarah graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with both a Bachelors and a Master’s degree in English Literature.
Her passion for communication and education led Sarah to begin her career working in higher education for over 15 years, starting with a teaching position at Southern Miss. In 2009, Sarah moved to Pennsylvania to work at York College of Pennsylvania, where she got her start in higher education fundraising. She went on to work for Franklin & Marshall College and Lebanon Valley College.
Over the course of her career, Sarah secured funding for a variety of initiatives from grants and individuals, including $500,000 for a finance lab at York College, over a million dollars in financial aid for students at Franklin & Marshall, and a lead gift to create a new Actuarial Science faculty position at Lebanon Valley College.
Sarah’s work was primarily focused on advising donors as to how they can make the biggest impact at the institutions they care about through their philanthropic support. While she was passionate about her development role, Sarah was ultimately drawn to financial advising because it enables her to continue to serve in an advisory capacity, but with the broader focus of building and stewarding clients’ whole financial picture.
The Charney Investment Group’s dedication and level of customer service stands out in the field of financial advisors and is the reason Sarah chose to advance her career as part of the Charney team. When working with Sarah, you can expect to receive a friendly and knowledgeable financial advisor who is genuinely interested in understanding your financial goals, and who can create a customized strategy to help you build a sound financial future.
Sarah and her two daughters reside in York, Pennsylvania. Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys reading, yoga, riding her bike on the rail trail, and spending time with friends.
